The mission of the Santa Barbara Investment Forum is to provide investment ideas and perspectives to our members who are either institutional or substantial private investors. Our membership is by invitation and limited to investors with funds at risk. Our private investor members are largely CEO's and CFO's of local companies or retired senior executives from public companies. Our institutional members are responsible for investment decisions.

Our speakers are selected based on their potential interest to our members. Corporate officers and fund managers are our most frequent speakers, with academics and commentators rounding out the schedule. We seek presentations which, first and foremost, educate our members about new areas for investment.
